高三七选五Listening is a basic part of communication

Listening is a basic part of communication. Listening is very different from hearing. Being a good and patient listener helps you solve many of life's problems. 16 It enriches your understanding. As simple as listening may seem, doing it well, particularly when disagreements arise, takes much effort and practice.

Be a real friend.

Place yourself in the other person’s shoes. 17 But active listening is blocked by your inward thinking. Instead, you must open out and look at the problems from the other person’s perspective. You must actively seek their point of view. Remember you have two ears and one mouth for a reason.

Eye contact is important when you are listening.

When someone is talking to you, focus directly on their eyes. In that case, they will know with certainty that you are absorbing every single word. Even if the topic is not interesting to you,at least respect and truly listen to what the speaker has to say. 18 Create a beneficial physical and mental space.

Remove all distractions (分心)and give all of your attention. Turn off communication devices, including cell phones. 19 Once you are face-to-face, quiet your mind and open yourself fully to whatever the person might say.

It might sound obvious, but one of the biggest obstacles to listening is resisting the urge to voice impulse thoughts. Similarly, many people falsely express empathy by sharing similar experiences. Put aside your own needs, and wait patiently for the other person to express their thoughts at their own pace and in their own way.

A. Stop, talking and be silent.

B. Encourage the speaker with body language.

C. Arrange to talk in a place with no distractions.

D. Focus your eyes and your thoughts and become a good listener.

E. And a good listener can also see the world through the eyes of others.

F. It is easy to get lost in yourself and to only consider the impact of the other person’s "telling"on you.

G. Active listening requires the listener to put aside his or her own opinions temporarily.
